Fabled Hare Watercolor Paintings

This section features a collection of my watercolor paintings, "The Adventures of "The Fabled Hare"". Each painting is a part of an unfolding story based on the hare, my love of nature, folklore and myth. Many of the scenes are inspired by some of my favorite local Schoharie County NY landscapes and area attractions.

If you are interested in purchasing prints of any of these paintings please visit my Etsy Store at etsy.com/shop/fabledhare. Limited edition giclee prints will be available per special request. I am still sourcing a printer for giclee.

    Vroman's "Nose" for Adventure Series

Vroman's Nose is an amazing landmark in Middleburgh, NY where I grew up. This is still one of my favorite hiking trails, with great views of the valley. This series is inspired by the magical sense of elation and adventure to see more I get when I'm up there. I tried to be relatively "true" to the views seen from separate Middleburgh vantage points.

    Predator vs. Prey Series

This grouping of paintings were done together and explore the balance of the relationship between predator and prey. Since the hare is what I consider to be the animal that represents my personality, I wanted to explore "my" natural predator, in hopes that I learn more about the chosen people in my life, and what role we fit in together in this dynamic.
